Start Staking via Stakestone from any chain/any token and Get STONE on Scroll in One Click!

Continuing our legacy of simplifying DeFi, today we’re announcing the launch of the StakeStone Adapter!

The new Adapter is your one-stop solution for starting staking from any chain with any token on Scroll!

You can access this single click Adapter for staking ETH from any chain and any token via Stakestone on Scroll here.

With this single click Adapter, users can earn ETH Staking and Restaking Rewards, STONE-W1 Points, Scroll Marks, and Router Nitro Carrot Points.

You can also check out our Intents Adapter Store, which currently offers multiple adapters for staking and providing liquidity on DEXs!

A little more on STONE before we start talking -

When you stake ETH via StakeStone you get STONE.

STONE is a non-rebase ERC-20 token, which means its value in ETH will increase as a result of the accumulated ETH staking yields.

At the time of writing this, 1 STONE equals 1.0183 ETH.

For example, if user A deposited 100 ETH for 100 STONE, and one year later, the value of 1 STONE becomes 1.04 ETH, the user can withdraw 104 ETH from StakeStone with 100 STONE.

When a user bridges STONE to Scroll, they can be part of StakeStone’s Omnichain Carnival and Scroll Sessions, earning StakeStone points and Scroll Marks!

Connect your wallet to the carnival page to obtain points.

Stake ETH on Scroll via StakeStone Adapter Seamlessly and Earn Multiple Rewards!

StakeStone is an omnichian liquidity infrastructure. StakeStone issues STONE, the omnichain yield-bearing ETH, which taps into multiple underlying assets, including ETH staking and restaking.

The demand for omnichain LST protocols and yield bearing ETH is off the charts. Why?

Individual stakers are out there, hungry for risk-free staking returns, and emerging blockchains are desperate for ample ETH liquidity to cover the opportunity cost of not staking directly on Ethereum.

Well, StakeStone is already opening doors for users to start risk-free staking on scaling solutions such as Layer2!

However, there’s still a big hiccup for an end user: the overwhelming journey of going through multiple dApp interactions to finally start staking.

And, this is what our Adapter is trying to solve.

Let’s map out the journey for Alex, an average (but tech-savvy) web3 user!

The ultimate aim of Alex is to get STONE on Scroll to earn STONE Points and Scroll Marks.

Here’s Alex’s typical journey to get STONE on Scroll and earn precious STONE Points and Scroll Marks:

  • Swap assets for STONE on a DEX
  • Bridge STONE to Scroll

If Alex’s investment is substantial, slippage and swap fees can eat into his returns. To avoid these costs, Alex must:

  1. Exchange holdings (e.g., USDC on Base) to ETH on Base
  2. Bridge ETH from Base to Ethereum
  3. Stake ETH on StakeStone
  4. Get STONE and bridge it to Scroll

And, of course, Alex needs to identify the optimal path(s) (in a non-StakeStone Adapter world) for the best returns, which translates to:

  • Multiple platforms
  • Multiple signings
  • Multiple approvals
  • Multiple transactions

Who’s got time for that?

So, what does the StakeStone Adapter world look like?

It looks like this -

Alex, with 1000 USDC on Base, stake and get STONE on Scroll — all in one place!

This is the legacy we talked about at the beginning of our blog.

The StakeStone POC enables Alex or any one of us to come from any chain, holding any token to start staking and getting STONE on Scroll — on a single interface, in a single click.

The application abstracts away all the complexities for the user. If it’s better to stake ETH on StakeStone Ethereum contracts and then bridge the minted STONE, that’s what the application will do.

And, if it’s better to do a direct cross-chain swap, then that’s what it’ll do.

Our intent application will optimize for the user’s return for any given request.

And the added advantage is the Nitro carrots (because Nitro is used as the underlying bridge).

You can also check out our Router Intent Adapter Store, which serves as a repository of open-source ‘Adapters’ that are smart contracts designed to execute user intents on the blockchain.

Developers can use them to transform their existing dapps into cross-chain applications or to create new, seamless cross-chain dapps (including but not limited to EVM and Cosmos-based chains).

Stay tuned for more adapters and reach out to us on our Discord channel to learn more.
