Navigating the New Nitro UI
You must have probably heard by now, that your favourite bridge — Router Nitro, just got a sleek new UI update. This guide will walk you through the revamped interface and its exciting new features.
Since its launch in 2024, Nitro has provided users with a fast, cheap, and efficient way to bridge across the various blockchains. The new UI has been redesigned after gathering user feedback and identifying pain points that exist in the current crop of bridging interfaces. With features like a smarter token selection experience, gas top-ups for the multichain world, multiple wallet connections, and more, we’re making navigating the interop ecosystem simpler and more user-friendly.
Let’s learn how to navigate the key features that underline Nitro’s new interface.
Smarter Token Selection
Here’s how to use the new smarter token selection module for bridging:
- Select Source Token: Click on the source field and search for the token and the chain, such as “USDT on Arbitrum” or “USDT Arbitrum.”
- Enter Amount: Input the desired amount to be bridged.
- Select Destination: Similarly, search for the destination token and the chain.
- Approve and Swap: Next, you’ll receive a quote. To complete your transaction, just click “Approve” and then “Swap.”

- Select Source Token: Choose the token and the chain, such as “USDT on Arbitrum.”
- Enter Amount: Specify the amount to be used for the top-up.
- Choose Destination Chains: Select the chains where you want to top up gas.
- Approve and Swap: Once you receive the quote — simply click “Approve & Swap” to proceed.
Multi-Wallet Selection
Now you can connect to multiple wallets and effortlessly switch between them using the multi-wallet selection module. Here’s how you can do that:
- Connect Your Wallet: Click on “Connect Wallet,” and a wallet connection pop-up will appear.
- Browse Wallet Options: You’ll see an “Installed Wallets” section for wallets already on your device, and an “All Wallets” section for all the supported wallets. Wallets are categorized by supported chains for easier navigation.
- Select and Connect: Choose the wallet that you want to connect to.
- Repeat for Additional Wallets: Follow steps 1–3 to connect to other wallets.

User Preference Settings (Infinite Approval, Auto Refuel, and Slippage)
Customize your bridging experience by tweaking your preferences. Here’s how to set it up:
- Open Settings: Click on the gear icon to access the User Preference Settings menu.
- Set Slippage Tolerance: Adjust your default slippage tolerance to suit your needs.
- Toggle Auto Refuel: Enable this option to automatically top up gas on the destination chain when bridging. Note that with this option turned on, Nitro will only send gas tokens on the destination chain if the gas balance on the destination chain is very low.
- Enable Infinite Approval: Hate approving every single time you bridge? Turn this on to approve once with a larger amount, removing the need for approving every time you initiate a transaction.
New Dashboard
Easily access the new dashboard by switching to the “Dashboard” tab from the navbar above. The dashboard allows you to:
- Track Transactions: View your historical and ongoing transactions.
- Withdraw Expired Transactions: Withdraw funds from transactions that could not be completed.
How to Withdraw:
- Go to the “Pending Transactions” section within the dashboard. Here you can see all your current transactions and expired transactions (if any). How to know if a transaction has expired? You should see a highlighted “Withdraw” option next to expired transactions.
- Click on “Withdraw”.
- Confirm the withdrawal request in your wallet. The funds will be credited back to your wallet shortly after.
