NFT Competition Results are now out!
On April 14th, we announced the launch of the first-ever NFT competition by Router Protocol. After having a fruitful internal discussion, we came to the consensus that the Router NFT concept will be crowdsourced to the community.
To incentivize our community to build this project with us, we also released a prize pool of 3,300 $ROUTE for the top 10 entries.
We invited everyone to contribute to this project and get a chance to win rewards from our prize pool. This contest was open for over a month and participants were asked to share their artwork on their Twitter handles.
And now, after receiving multiple creative entries, the moment of truth is finally here. We are excited to share that we now have the final results of the Router NFT Contest.
Please note that the first 3 entries are ranked based on the results of the governance proposal initiated on June 2nd, 2022.
The remaining positions were ranked by careful evaluation by Router Protocol’s internal team.
Before we announce the results, here is the prize split for all the top 10 positions.
Top Entry — 1000 $ROUTE
Second Entry — 500 $ROUTE
Third Entry — 400 $ROUTE
Fourth Entry — 350 $ROUTE
Fifth Entry — 300 $ROUTE
Sixth Entry — 250 $ROUTE
Seventh Entry — 200 $ROUTE
Eighth Entry — 150 $ROUTE
Ninth Entry — 100 $ROUTE
Tenth Entry — 50 $ROUTE
And now “cue drumrolls” time for the results. Here is the result of the Governance Proposal for the Top 3 Positions:
With 91.4% of the votes, coming in at first position and winning a prize of 1000 $ROUTE, we have “The Janitor” who came up with the idea of Router Rabbits. Rabbits are fast and love to jump — just like Voyagers.
The Janitor went the extra mile with their submission and even created a neat Router Rabbits website.
We have “Koeny24” coming in at second position and winning a prize of 500 $ROUTE. They proposed the idea of Router islands NFT. Typically blockchains are siloed islands that are not conventionally connected to each other, however as the story evolves — the islands get bridged using Router Protocol.
We have “MiliMarven” coming in at third position and winning a prize of 400 $ROUTE. One thing to note about Marven is that they submitted 4 different entries for this competition with different concepts.
Coming in at Fourth Position and winning a prize of 350 $ROUTE, we have “Whit Munroe” who came up with the idea of Router Wizards. Well, who doesn’t like a wizard?
Coming in at Fifth Position and winning a prize of 300 $ROUTE, we have Router Reptiles that can beautifully change their colors just like assets on Router Protocol can change their chains!
Coming in at Sixth Position and winning a prize of 250 $ROUTE, we have “Neil Smallwood” who proposed an NFT concept called ‘Epic Handshakes of Router Protocol’. Neil’s no designer but he proposed an interesting concept.
Coming in at Seventh Position and winning a prize of 200 $ROUTE, we have “CryptoCallEarly”
We have a second entry by “Marven” coming in at Eighth Position and winning a prize of 150 $ROUTE.
We have a second entry by “Crypto General” coming in at ninth position and winning a prize of 100 $ROUTE.
And finally, coming in at Tenth Position and winning a prize of 50 $ROUTE, we have “Amine Neoka”
And that’s it. The team behind Router Protocol congratulates all the winners and is also thankful to all the participants who couldn’t make it to the top 10. Your active participation is what makes Router Protocol thrive.
And this concludes the crowdsourcing of Router Protocol’s first-ever NFT Project.
Please note that for the dispersion of rewards, all the winners need to DM us their Metamask address on our official Twitter handle from the account they submitted their entries.
If you missed out on this project, then don’t worry. We are currently working on curating multiple crowdsourced experiences for you. In fact, a few of them are currently in the pipeline waiting for your participation. If you want to know about such events before anyone else, then make sure you’re part of our community of Voyagers on Telegram and Discord.
