Router Protocol Announces the Integration of Kava
At Router Protocol, all our efforts converge towards the singular goal of building a chain agnostic Web 3 — to build an ecosystem that’s inclusive for every user regardless of their blockchain network preference.
Seven months ago, we broke into cross-chain communication by releasing the mainnet of Router Protocol. A cross-chain bridge now rechristened as Voyager. Since its launch, Voyager has executed over $300 million in transaction volume, which is only going up daily.
We have also abstracted every aspect of the technical infrastructure powering Voyager to provide Web 3 developers with plug-and-play frameworks to enable cross-chain swaps/transfers on their existing dApps or build native cross-chain dApps. In the past month, these offerings have been integrated into the ecosystems of multiple prominent Web 3.0 projects.
The driving force for adopting Voyager and our modular cross-chain protocol is not just the state of art architecture — it is the strategic integrations of blockchain networks into our messaging and liquidity mesh.
Since our launch, we have integrated almost all major EVM chains like Ethereum, Polygon, Fantom, Cronos, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and more.
We’re proud to announce that Router Protocol has successfully integrated Kava into its cross-chain messaging mesh. To understand how this helps the cross-chain ecosystem, we first need to understand the core competencies of Kava.
Kava is a lightning-fast Layer-1 blockchain featuring a developer-optimized co-chain architecture that combines the two most used permissionless ecosystems — Ethereum and Cosmos — into a single, scalable network.
It combines the flexibility and speed of Ethereum smart contract development with the interoperability of the Cosmos SDK on a single network. Users of Router Protocol can leverage these capabilities without switching their native chain.
Since our cross-chain messaging mesh operates in a 1-N relationship model instead of a 1–1 relationship model, every network integrated with Router Protocol can freely communicate with Kava. This means that users of Voyager can transfer and swap tokens to/from Kava to nine integrated networks.
This integration is one of the many steps toward fixing the broken composability of Web3 and helping the ecosystem evolve collectively.
