Router Protocol closes seed funding from leading crypto and DeFi angels
We are pleased to announce that Router Protocol has successfully completed its first seed funding round, from a diverse group of marquee investors from Singapore, India and the US
Router has raised $480k from a consortium of crypto/fintech/DeFi heavyweights from the US and Asia as it rolls out its suite of cross-chain interoperability primitives to the forefront of the fast-expanding DeFi industry.
We believe that in the current DeFi environment and in the spirit of open-source building, there is no need for flashy VC names and glamorous NDAs. It’s all about true value being added to the community, and real problems being solved, as opposed to capturing the next wave of the perpetual crypto hype cycle. Especially considering the recent Sushi<>Uniswap debate, we put even more emphasis on the community and attempt to have as fair a distribution as possible for all stake holders, leaving ample resources for the ecosystem development. More news on this will follow in the coming days.
The funds raised will enable us to expand the team behind Router and to build bridging infrastructure between many other blockchains and blockchain solutions.
We are thankful to all investors and community members who expressed their interest in Router at this relatively early stage of its development. We remain dedicated to building seamless bridges between Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain platforms, allowing users to access liquidity from all across the DeFi ecosystem.
Cross-chain farming on Router will start shortly, with initial launches on Matic AMM and on EasyFi. EasyFi community users as well as the broader DeFi community will be able to get their hands on Router token before any centralized exchange listings through the Easy Access program (which is a great way for the EasyFi community to access early a low circulating market cap token before anyone else)
Stay tuned for more news and updates from Router Protocol.
