Router Protocol: Development Update (July 20)
Development updates
Last week updates
- Router explorer backend changes also to include the data from Router CrossTalk.
- Sample UI implementation for JS SDK is completed, and now partners can just fork this project to get a UI along with JS integration to provide the option of cross-chain swaps on their website.
- Gas price configurability on Router CrossTalk — now, users can pass the gas price at which they want to execute the transaction on the destination chain. We have also added the capability for users to replay the transaction again with a higher gas price in case their transaction is stuck due to a sudden spike in gas price.
- Dashboard upgrade — work on the desktop site has been completed, and we will be focusing on mobile side changes in the upcoming week
- Photonswap was added as another Dex on Cronos.
This week’s focus
- Improvement on Router Crosstalk — continue our efforts on this initiative. It will allow users to sequence their fund transfer and instruction transfers.
- Moonbeam and Kava integration on Router
- Optimizations for reducing the time required for deploying RAssets and adding new reserve assets on Router
- Gas price configurability on Router CrossTalk — testing will be completed and then the contracts across all chains will be upgraded for Router CrossTalk.
- Voting optimization — we continue to optimize our voting mechanism to reduce the overall voting cost and make it more scalable for adding more validators in the future for the voting on the destination chain. This is a more extended project and is expected to take around 2.5–3 months to complete.
- Test Firebird integration and deploy to Mainnet
Audit Updates
- Oak security is continuing the bridge audit along with smart contracts. The audit is near completion, and we expect it to end tomorrow. They have already provided the first draft of the audit — now we are incorporating the changes they have suggested.
- We are in the process of finishing the Hacken audit.
Marketing & Business Updates
Here’s the roundup of the week of Router Protocol from the Marketing and Business Partnership front.
Router API got its first adopter with Annex Finance. Annex Finance is now using the technical infrastructure of Router Protocol to provide their users the functionality to swap tokens to/from BNB Chain to Cronos Chain.
Bringing our envisioned scope of partnerships to reality, UniFarm will be using CrossTalk Library to build a dApp called Setu. Setu will allow its users to transfer tokens between various blockchain networks.
After Voyager, Setu is the second dApp that will be built on the framework provided by CrossTalk Library.
Continuing the streak of collaborations this week, we finalized a three-pronged partnership between Trava Finance, Dfyn, and Router Protocol. In this partnership, Trava integrated Router Widget on their platform to provide cross-chain functionalities to their users. $TRAVA got listed on Router Protocol’s cross-chain bridge: Voyager. And finally, Dfyn now shows a link to integrated Trava’s Token Health Analytics below the swap screen.
Rounding up the final collaboration of the week, Router Protocol is yet again making a huge statement to validate the use case of cross-chain by partnering with Gods of Africa to help them build cross-chain NFTs using CrossTalk Library
Router Protocol, in association with Hacken, launched a Bug Bounty program with a range of $1,000 to $200,000, depending on the severity.
And finally, we released the long-awaited results of Voyage 4.0. 348 unique addresses followed all the steps correctly and will now get an equal share of 3000 $ROUTE. This equates to 8.62 $ROUTE (approximately $30). The rewards will be distributed by the end of this week.
About Router Protocol
Router Protocol is building a suite of cross-chain infra primitives that aims to enable blockchain interoperability between current and emerging Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains.
