Router Protocol is now audited by Halborn

We are thrilled to announce to our community that Router Protocol has successfully passed both audits performed by Halborn Security, a leading security firm. This is a major milestone for Router, as it shows that we have moved one step closer to our product roll-out.

The audit was divided into two parts — one focusing on our smart contracts, and the other looking into the Router Bridge. Earlier in November, we announced that we’ve successfully passed Halborn’s smart contract audit, and now we can finally share that the second GoBridge audit was also passed with flying colors.

Both audits can be publicly accessed on our Github.

Audit Objectives / Summary of Audits

The primary purpose of the audit was to:

  • Ensure the bridge and smart contract functions operate as intended
  • Identify any potential security issues with the bridge and smart contracts

These objectives were achieved by implementing a combination of manual and automated security testing by full-time security engineers with deep knowledge of the blockchain industry.

After its engineers conducted advanced penetration testing, Halborn offered guidance on the best security practices to the Router team. This will enable us to mitigate any security vulnerabilities we might encounter in the future.

Audit Findings

Halborn provided the Router Protocol team with an extensive report, as well as relevant recommendations for remediation of discovered vulnerabilities. Router Protocol was able to quickly offer remediation for all security reports.

Security Findings in the smart contract audit

The smart contract audit proved to be very beneficial for our product as it highlighted a security vulnerability with a critical risk level, two vulnerabilities of medium risk level, one medium, and various low and informational ones.

Security findings in the GoBridge audit

The GoBridge audit results fared better with no critical or high-risk vulnerabilities found in the code.

About Halborn

Halborn is a full-fledged security firm that offers a variety of security measures to DeFi projects. These include advanced penetration testing, advising, ethical hacking, and of course — smart contract code auditing. The blockchain experts at Halborn help projects develop a culture of security and ensure that the final product is exploit-proof.

Halborn is constantly updating its practices to make sure that its security tactics are fully up to date. By doing this, the simulated security attacks are at the cutting edge of what protocols will face on mainnet. For projects like Router Protocol, which differ in scope and complexity from other DeFi protocols, Halborn offers world-class custom solutions to suit the needs.

Their team of world-class security experts and cutting-edge practices go far beyond typical security audits and will make sure that Router is fully robust and ready for mainnet release.
