Router Protocol’s Tech Fortnightly Update

December Edition Part Two

Welcome to December’s second edition of Router Protocol’s Fortnightly Updates and before we dive into the usual technical advancements and updates, we’d like to share a bit of our joyous news.

Four of our beloved team members got married, and we all had a fantastic time celebrating these occasions together.

On the technical front, we’ve been busy as usual. This update brings you the latest on our Nitro modules and our progress with Starknet integrations, along with other advancements. We’ve been working hard to make sure Router Protocol continues to grow and improve, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to. So, let’s dive in!

Nitro Updates:

• IBC Connection Testing: Completed testing of edge cases for IBC connection in cross-chain and Nitro modules.
• Multicaller for Forwarder: This feature has now been successfully integrated. This will allow the forwarder to batch multiple transactions and submit them to the destination chain.
• Partner Fee Withdrawal in Asset Bridge: The development to withdraw partner fees for Mint & Burn flow has been completed.
• Custom Token Support in Asset Bridge: The implementation and testing of custom ROUTE token support are complete.
• Development on Alpha Network: Functional testing and development have been ongoing.

Starknet Developments:

• Testing Cross Chain Dapp: Completed testing sample Cross-chain dApp bridging Polygon and Starknet
• Asset Forwarder Contract: We’ve started working on the Orchestrator changes for the Starknet Asset Forwarder flow.

UI Enhancements:

• Light Mode: Implemented on Nitro Swap and Explorer, with deployment set soon.
• Nitro Dashboard: Chainwise data will now be available, and proper filtering of data has been updated
• Explorer Improvements: Addressed major issues, including filter, chain selector, and withdraw functionality.

Router Intents

• Whitepaper finalisation: The whitepaper is finished and ready to go LIVE on 19th December 2023
• Router Intents UI: Desktop and mobile designs for Intents are in-progress
• Development:
• DEXs Integrations: Completed integration with PancakeSwap, SushiSwap, and TraderJoe.
• Contract Integrations: Successfully integrated Justlend, Sovryn, and Balancer.

Upcoming Focus:

• Debugging ZkSync: Addressing transaction-related issues on zkSync on testnet.
• DexSpan Integration: Effort for integration of DexSpan on cosmos chains.
• Intents Module Expansion: This includes smart wallet development for stateful interactions and updates to existing integrations.
• Intents Designs: Continuing work on desktop and mobile UI, including the Xchain Liquid Staking Aggregator.
