As we begin 2024, we’re here to share some recent updates from Router Tech. Our team has been working hard on various improvements and innovations. Here’s an overview of the latest developments, marking a new and promising start to the year.

Router Nitro

Gas Limit Analysis: We’ve conducted a detailed analysis of the gas limit for Asset Forwarder EVM contracts.
Optimisation: Successfully optimised EVM contracts, achieving a reduction in gas costs by 10–15%.
Mainnet Deployment: Added new chains to the Mainnet Nitro Deployment, followed by thorough validation.

Gas Boost

Code Optimisation: Completed and rigorously tested on the Alpha network, ensuring enhanced performance.

AlephZero

Gateway Contract: Successfully deployed on the Alpha network, marking a significant step forward.

Starknet

Orchestrator Development: Progressed in developing an orchestrator for Starknet Asset Forwarder and commenced end-to-end testing.

Cosmos Chains

Significant development is complete for asset transfers between EVM and cosmos chains. We will be deploying this to testnet in the coming weeks.

Tools Update

UI: Focused on improving the Light mode UI for Nitro swap and explorer, based on user feedback. Addressed both logical and cosmetic changes.
Backend: Implemented gas limit adjustments based on flow type and chain. Optimized and added caching on Nitro explorer for stabilisation on the mainnet. Extended Cosmos chain type support for Nitro explorer backend API.

DevOps Update:

ELK Monitoring for Kubernetes: Enhanced the ELK monitoring system for Kubernetes.
HashiCorp Vault Integration with Mainnet: Integrated HashiCorp Vault with the mainnet.
Mainnet API Stability: Worked on ensuring the stability of the Mainnet API.
Database Backups Management: Implemented strategies for database backups.

Router Cross-chain Intent Framework

Smart Wallet Development: Progressed on developing smart wallets for enhanced stateful interactions.
Backend Integrations: Updated integrations with Uniswap, Swell, and Metapool.
Protocol Deployments: Successfully deployed protocols, including Compound, JustLend, and QuickSwap.
Maverick Adapters: Advanced the integration of Maverick adapters on the Goerli testnet.
UI for Liquid Staking Aggregator: Initiated the development of the user interface for the Liquid Staking Aggregator.

Upcoming Focus

Router Nitro: Expanding chain integration and enhancing monitoring systems.
Gas Boost: Developing USDC to native ratio scripts.
AlephZero: Advancing Asset Forwarder Contracts development and unit testing.
Starknet: Finalizing Forwarder for Starknet chain and end-to-end Nitro testing on the Alpha network.
Cosmos: Integrating on testnet and making it available for users to try EVM to cosmos asset transfers
DevOps: Implementing Mainnet environment changers, ELK logs pruning, Web2 API load testing, and financial operations for AWS & GCP.
Router Intents: Exploring Railgun and Thorchain integrations, developing unified APIs for easier integrations. Integrating Balancer, SUN, PancakeSwap, Biswap contracts, and JustLend protocols. Continuing updates on LSD protocol documents and UI for Liquid Staking Aggregator.
