Router Tech Fortnightly Update
April Edition: Part 1
Welcome to the April edition of the Router Tech Fortnightly Update. As we enter the year, our commitment to evolving and enhancing our technological offerings continues to grow stronger. This update highlights the advancements made in our Router Chain updates, Nitro developments, Tools & DevOps, Product Enhancements, and forward-looking Intents module. Join us as we delve into the achievements of the past fortnight and outline our focus for the upcoming period.
Chain Updates:
Aleph Zero chain integration
- Testing of gateway contracts and forwarder contracts was concluded.
- Enhanced the efficiency of Azero streamer and scripts through optimization efforts. This will make sure that there is no latency in processing of the Aleph Zero transactions
- Currently, the contracts are under audit, and post-audit, we will be launching the chain on Mainnet.
- Enhancements to forwarder — Our current forwarder was written in GoLang, and we will be writing this in JS to support Aleph Zero.
New chain integration
- The integration, which we will be revealing soon, is completed, and we are currently testing it in our internal environment. Stay tuned — it’s a big one!
- Changes have been shared with the auditors for audit. The tentative audit completion date is expected to be around the end of May.
Solana CCTP Integration
- We have completed the Solana CCTP integration on the backend. This will allow users to transfer USDC from EVM to Solana and vice-versa using Nitro’s API.
- Currently, we are working on enhancing the UI to support Solana’ CCTP via the UI as well.
Move-based Chain Integration
- The team has started evaluating the contracts and various services to be integrated to add this new chain to the mesh of chains connected via Router.
- It will be added for asset transfers via Nitro and message transfers via Router chain. Guess the chain.
Nitro Updates:
Network Migration
- Given the Goerli network has been sunsetted, we have moved to sepolia networks for the various testnets so that developers can continue building their applications on testnet and can test them without any inconvenience
Rollux Testnet Configuration
- We are working with the Rollux team to add support for their chain via our Asset bridge contracts.
UI Improvements
- We have added fallback RPCs to the UI to provide an even more reliable UI for users. This improvement will make sure that the balances and various state updates for a transaction happen much more smoothly for the users.
Cosmos Integration
- We have worked on integrating the Dexspan contract on Cosmos. This will allow cross-chain swaps into cosmos chains as well.
- We will be working on testing these changes in the upcoming week
Defilama and API Updates
- We have raised a PR to be included in the DefiLama list of bridges. There have been some challenges around the PR cause of the way data is expected on the Defilama side
Custom Token Addition for Nitro Widget
- Custom token addition was enabled while creating the Nitro widget. Using widget builder, now developers can not just choose tokens from the available list but also add their custom tokens for creating the widget as per their need.
Intents Module:
Adapter Developments
- Developed Velocore and Parifi adapters for cross-chain deposits and claims
- Worked on building the StakeStone adapters for creating a 1-click journey for staking into StakeStone from any chain.
- We will continue working on developing the backend for these adapters and then push out for mainnet
Intents Store Setup
- Working on a completely new first-of-its-kind intent adapter store. This store will have various adapters to make various applications, such as Lido, Uni v3 LP chain agnostic.
- Developers will be able to use these adapters and build new applications pretty fast and in a seamless way.
- This development is expected to continue for 3–4 weeks before the launch of this store for users and developers.
In case you have not participated yet, we have also launched two campaigns:
Nitro Voyage 1.0 with Rootstock | Ends on 12th April | $2000 + 500 Additional Carrots
Nitro Voyage 2.0 with BitGet Wallet | Ends on 28th April | BWB Airdrop Points
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build a more interconnected and efficient future together. We appreciate your ongoing support and invite you to join our community on our social media channels for the latest developments.
Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the blockchain space!
