May Edition: Part I

Welcome to the May edition of the Router Tech Fortnightly Update. As we step into a new month, the momentum of innovation and progress within Router Protocol continues to surge forward. This edition encapsulates the latest advancements across various fronts, including Chain Updates, Dapp Developments, Tools & DevOps, and insights into upcoming focuses.

Chain Updates:

  • Injective Chain: Successfully integrated into our testnet network, expanding our ecosystem.
  • Sui Proof of Concept (PoC): The PoC is to check how we can interact with Sui blockchain, i.e., read and write on Sui. Completed, with ongoing development of the Asset Forwarder.
  • Middleware Improvements: Resolved issues impacting Bitcoin transactions; a pull request (PR) for testnet improvements is raised.

Dapp Updates:

Nitro:

  • Development of Asset Forwarder EVM withdrawal flow is ongoing, enhancing asset management capabilities.
  • Deployment of Fire and Taiko Test contracts has been completed, both these chains are now integrated on testnet.
  • Migration of Asset Bridge and Fee Manager on Mainnet has been successful. The migration is aimed at a better optimized architecture, which will allow us to add more features in the future easily.
  • Arthera and Saakuru are now live on Mainnet, expanding the reach of the platform.
  • Integration of Base and Scroll in Asset Bridge Flow has been achieved, enabling broader asset compatibility. This will allow us to make tokens omnichain on Base and Scroll via mint/burn flow.

Tools & DevOps:

Nitro:

  • New CCTP events for Nitro Explorer have been completed, improving event tracking capabilities.
  • EVM transaction simulation on Nitro UI has been added, enhancing user interaction. This would make sure the gas calculated for the source transaction is accurate.
  • Nitro-explorer API has undergone code review changes and updates for improved performance.
  • Integration of Enso API with PF has been completed and deployed to the mainnet. This expands our swapping aggregators on the various chains.
  • Chain integrations include Saakuru Mainnet and Helka Taiko testnet, expanding network compatibility.
  • Lottery and Wheel of Fortune were released on the mainnet. These features allow users to win additional rewards while using Nitro.
  • NEAR events integration for Nitro Explorer has been completed, enhancing event tracking capabilities.

Path-finder:

  • Work on alerts, optimization, and error messages is underway, ensuring the smooth operation of the platform.
  • Integration of Redis for quick API throughput has been completed, improving performance.
  • Asset bridge integration for Osmosis is in progress, expanding asset compatibility for mint/burn flow on cosmos chains.

Router Intents and Adapters:

  • Parifi adapter and backend integration have been completed, expanding network capabilities.
  • Deployment of new BatchContract and DexSpan adapter for handling same chain analytics has been completed.
  • Backend integration for Kim v2 and v4 has been completed, enhancing network functionality.
  • Pipeline feature designs for Intent Store are in progress, aiming to streamline operations.
  • Lynnex adapters are being developed, expanding adapter capabilities.
  • Documentation for all adapters is in progress, facilitating ease of use.
  • Intent Store launch and Velocore PoC were launched, promising innovative solutions.

Upcoming Focus:

  • Fixing audit issues for Osmosis integration.
  • E2E test cases for Azero are in progress, ensuring reliability and stability.
  • Exploring Event Agent design for external chains, enhancing network compatibility.
  • Migration of Asset Forwarder middleware on Mainnet is planned, improving asset management.
  • Development of Solana Gateway Contract is underway, expanding network capabilities.
  • Unit test-cases and on-chain end-to-end testing of Starknet Asset Forwarder Contract are in focus, ensuring contract reliability.
  • Optimizing Orchestrator Middleware Contract to improve network efficiency.
  • Implementation of alert on Invalid Fund Paid Requests to avoid funds loss.
  • Continuing pipeline designs for Intent Store, aiming for streamlined operations.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the blockchain space!
