The unlocking of higher APYs on Galaxy Farm Cohort-2
Galaxy Farm Cohorot-2 went live on April 8 with Union Finance, Frontier, MantraDAO, Glitch Protocol, Nord Finance, Razor Network, Stater Finance, Rage.Fan, IGG, Coreto and Router Protocol.
The Cohort is special because it has a gamification bit on it. Initially rewards worth $165,000 will be unlocked for the farmers of the GalaxyFarm and once the TVL of the farm hits $2.5 Million, the remaining $165,000 in rewards will be unlocked. The purpose of this activity is to gamify the farming experience. Stakers are motivated to stake more and unlock and earn higher APYs for their LP tokens.
At the time of writing this post, Cohort-2 has $1.76 million in TVL. That means after $740,000 more in additional TVL, additional $165,000 in rewards will be unlocked.
The Galaxy Farm Cohort-1 and Cohort-2 have many projects which are overlapping. For example Router Protocol, Mantra DAO, and Razor Network are part of both cohort-1 and cohort-2. While the cohort-1 has ended, the cohort-2 is going to offer high APYs for another 26 days.
The APY simulation number shows that APY can go upto 2489% if the target is reached on Day 30. However, those rewards will then sustain only for 1 day. We have already gone past Day 4, and there are still 25 days for the community to come together and increase the TVL to Cohort-2 to $2.5 million.
