Voyage 4.0: Optimistic for “Perpetual Protocol”

At Router Protocol, we open up doors for Web 3.0 users and developers to communicate across different siloed networks seamlessly. We are driven by our mission to unlock the true potential of Web 3.0 by making it chain agnostic. But we also recognize that just building products that facilitate cross-chain communication is not enough. Our efforts should also focus on mass adoption. Because a ship can’t move till the time there are voyagers on board.
To initiate mass adoption of cross-chain swaps/transfers, we initiated a contest series called Voyage. It is an incentivized kickstarter for traversing the crypto sphere and communicating with different networks.
In the past three editions, we added over 4000 new members to our tribe of #voyagers and surpassed over $180M in trading volume. And now, we are back with the fourth edition.
We are proud to announce the launch of Voyage 4.0 in association with Perpetual Protocol on Optimism Network.
Competition details:
Unlike previous editions, this contest is not divided into multiple parts. This contest will be live from July 4, 6:00 PM UTC to July 11, 6:00 PM UTC.
Here are the steps to participate:
Step 1 (Mandatory): Transfer 100 USDC to Optimism
Use Voyager, Router Protocol’s flagship cross-chain swapping engine, to deposit at least 100 USDC from any network to the Optimism Network.
Note: You can also transfer 100 USDC across multiple transactions.
> Remember to pay fees in $ROUTE for the cheapest transfers!
Step 2 (Optional): Get oETH
If you already have some ETH on Optimism — you can skip this step.
Optimism Network needs ETH on Optimism for gas transactions. So if you don’t have oETH on Optimism — you will have to bridge some ETH to Optimism as well.
> As per our estimates, 5–10$ worth of oETH should be enough for the following steps!
Step 3) (Mandatory): Deposit Funds to Perpetual Protocol
Once you have deposited funds on the Optimism network, the next step will be to deposit at least 100 USDC on Perpetual Protocol.
Perpetual Protocol is on the Optimism network so make sure your wallet is connected to the Optimism network when depositing funds on Perpetual Protocol.
After it loads — you will see this screen, click on Deposit in front of USDC to load the funds to Perpetual.
Step 4 (Optional step): Try out new features
Play around with Perpetual Protocol and perform a leveraged trade.
Step 5 (Mandatory): Don’t withdraw the funds for a week.
You are free to withdraw your funds after 1 week of keeping them on Perpetual Protocol. For example, if you deposit your funds on 7th July 2022, you can withdraw after 14th July 2022.
And that’s it!
This contest has a prize pool of 3000 $ROUTE which would be evenly divided amongst all the participants who complete the required steps. For example, if 100 participants follow all the steps correctly — each participant will receive 30 $ROUTE tokens airdropped to their wallets.
Important Notes:
- Voyage 4.0 will be live for 1 week. This means that the deposit window for the participants is from July 4, 6:00 PM UTC to July 11, 6:00 PM UTC
- In order to be eligible for the contest, participants can’t withdraw for 7 days from their deposit time. Since the last eligible deposit transaction can be made on July 11, 6:00 PM UTC, the results will be announced after July 18.
- You can track whether or not you have followed all the steps here. Note that the sheet might take up to 1 hour after you have followed all the steps to show your details.

At Router Protocol, we never slow down when it comes to conducting activities that will engage our community and further the development and adoption of the cross-chain ecosystem.
