As January wraps up, we’re excited to share that this month has been nothing short of transformative for Router Protocol, packed with major upgrades, new integrations, and ecosystem growth. From a brand-new Nitro UI enhancing user experience to the launch of Router Pay to simplify Web 3.0 transactions, Router continues to push the boundaries of cross-chain interoperability. We also saw exciting partnerships, technical advancements, and a new wave of chain integrations strengthening our multichain vision.

Let’s dive into everything that made January a month to remember!

Product Highlights

1. Router Nitro’s New UI: Faster, Smarter, Better

  • Auto Refuel: Nitro now detects when gas on the destination chain is low and automatically refuels your account, saving users time and hassle to top up gas.
  • Smarter Token Selection: The token selection process is now more intuitive, allowing users to search for tokens by name and chain, making cross-chain swaps easier.
  • Multiple Wallet Connections: Thanks to Router’s inhouse Tangled SDK, users can connect multiple wallets spanning various networks (EVM, Solana, Tron, and more) for easier switching between wallets.
  • Multi-Chain Gas Send: Effortlessly send gas tokens to multiple chains in one go, simplifying the process of managing native tokens across networks.
  • 50% Faster Withdrawals: Transaction withdrawal times have been reduced from 6 hours to just 3 hours, with ongoing efforts to make it even faster.

2. Router Pay: Scan. Pay. Done.

  • Router Pay, our innovative payment solution built on the Instruction Specific Address (ISA) framework, went live on Router Nitro.
  • Router Pay eliminates the need for wallet connections and approvals, and provides a simple, secure, and trustless payment solution to navigate the Web 3.0 space.
  • Router Pay enables users to transact with any DApp by simply sending funds to a single-use address generated specifically for the user’s intent.
  • Router Pay can be used in intent applications (like Nitro), Telegram mini apps, AI agents, payment gateways, among other things.

3. Dfyn Exchange Goes Live on Router Chain

  • Dfyn Exchange became the first native decentralized application (DApp) on Router Chain.
  • Dfyn is live with the ROUTE/USDC trading pair, providing an easy entry point for traders and liquidity providers to the ROUTE token.
  • A daily reward of 5500 ROUTE was allocated to the ROUTE/USDC farm on Dfyn.

Partnerships, Ecosystem Growth & New Chain Integrations

1. New Chains Integrated into Router Nitro

January saw the addition of 7 new mainnet chains and 5 testnet chains to Router Nitro, expanding the platform’s network of networks (see what we did there ;)).

  • Mainnet Integrations: Router Chain, Hyperliquid, Abstract Chain, Sonic, Nero, Soneium, Shido.
  • Testnet Integrations: Story Odyssey, Abstract Sepolia, Unichain Sepolia, HyperEVM Testnet.

2. ROUTE Token on Hyperliquid

  • Acquired $ROUTE Ticker: $ROUTE ticker was acquired through the Dutch Auction process, paving the way for $ROUTE trading on Hyperliquid once the HyperEVM mainnet goes live.
  • Single-step Bridging to Hyperliquid: Thanks to Router’s CCIF, Nitro became the only bridge to enable single-step deposits into Hyperliquid from over 35 chains, including non-EVM networks like Sui.
  • Testnet Integration: Nitro enabled users to transfer tokens from other testnet networks to the HyperEVM testnet and stake them there.

3. HyperBeat Partnership

HyperBeat was pivotal in bringing Router to Hyperliquid. As part of this partnership, a part of the bridging fees from Nitro’s Hyperliquid instance has been committed to conduct buybacks of $ROUTE on Hyperliquid for distribution to $HYPE stakers via HyperBeat.

4. Thorn Partnership

Thorn Protocol, a decentralized crypto trading platform, integrated Router Nitro into their newly launched bridge.

5. Symbiotic Pre-deposit Campaign

  • We established Router Chain as a Symbiotic security network.
  • We launched the Symbiotic pre-deposit campaign on Ethereum. This campaign was the part of a broader initiative to improve the security of the Router Chain ecosystem while parallelly reducing the token inflation.

6. StakeDrop Campaign Completion

In lieu of the ROUTE/USDC farm launched on Dfyn, the StakeDrop campaign was concluded. The campaign proved to be highly successful over the course of the past six months, allowing us to achieve a significant increase in staking percentages, contributing to the overall stability of the network.

Intent Adapters

On the intent front, we launched the beraSTONE and beraSBTC intent adapters on Ethereum in partnership with the StakeStone team. These adapters made it seamless for the users to stake funds into the beraSTONE and beraSBTC vaults from 35+ chains in a single step.

Router Nitro Analytics

  • Monthly Volume: $39.3 million
  • Total Transactions: 46,400 transactions
  • Unique Users: Over 31K unique users

Tokenomics

We burned 4.4M+ ROUTE tokens (exactly 4,417,750) in January

  • 198,860 ROUTE from Router Nitro’s December revenue
  • 4,218,890 ROUTE from staking rewards on unvested supply

January was a milestone month for Router as we kicked off the year with major developments. From the much-anticipated Router Nitro update to the launch of Router Pay, our next-gen Web3 payments solution, and new chain integrations, we delivered on our commitments to the community.

Beyond product advancements, our partnerships with HyperBeat and Thorn added significant value to the ecosystem, while campaigns like the Symbiotic Pre-Deposit and Router Pay Tweet & Earn helped expand our community.

With growing user adoption, increasing transaction volumes, and even more upgrades on the horizon, Router is solidifying its position as a leader in interoperability. Stay tuned — there’s plenty more to come!
